Do you have a mobile you dislike the most? A sofa out of fashion? And you do, keep them at home? Throw them away in the woods or in some open space there is already so isolated ... those who have left all kinds of waste. Although it seems crazy in this country there are people who make such claims. And how much effort you make, you can not stop this sad phenomenon that can be counted among the greatest misfortunes that can happen to the environment. Sorry for the pun of the title but I want to treat the topic is, as you'll see, fly-tipping. I read a very large landfill, discovered near Pomezia, where they were abandoned tires, construction demolition materials, cans of solvents, abandoned farm machinery and what is more serious even asbestos, dangerous to public health. It 'took it the seizure of the entire area and was reported the owner of the land. Article 192 of Legislative Decree 3 April 2006, n.152 (Environmental Regulations) prohibits fact "... the abandonment and uncontrolled storage of waste on land and soil ". Who does not respect this law shall be punished "... with penalties ranging from 25 to 620 €" . Article 256, however, punishes the illegal dump itself. It is, in this case, a criminal offense, punished by imprisonment from six months to two years and a fine of from 2,600 to 26,000 €. The difference between the waste and leave the drain in a landfill is illegal under the law, that is absolutely the first, then the second repeated and habitual. As I said, the illegal dumping is a serious risk to the environment, because if the waste is not sorted quickly end up in the ground, polluting soil and groundwater. Consequently, even the water we use and products that come from agriculture or from farms. Not to mention the problems that cause this waste to the surface, polluting the area green where they are and often making it impossible to breathe the air. All this to pay a small fee to dispose of waste at a regular landfill. I take the view that the only way to take care of 'environment and at the same time to dispose of the huge amount of waste we produce, both collection. In our school (SMS Virgil, Anzio) is careful to separate waste as there are a number of containers for biological, aluminum, paper, plastic etc.. and in every class there are more bins for different materials. However, this situation does not occur everywhere: in fact a good Italian families still does not make the collection and few are those that help the environment in this sense, although this phenomenon is increasing. The school helps the very nature and even the media cooperate in this endeavor with a number of promotional messages, but we who must decide which side they are: illegal landfills, refuse to do an act of love towards nature.
